Study spaces at the Economics Library

The library has a silent reading room, individual study spaces and open areas for collaborative study. In Handelsrätten on floors three and four in the E building, you can heat and eat your food.

The information desk is straight ahead after you pass through the entrance doors.

Guidelines for a pleasant study environment

Remember that as a visitor, you help make the library a pleasant place for everyone. By keeping your voice at a reasonable volume, using headphones when listening to audio, not eating food and sorting your waste for recycling, we can make the library a good study environment for everyone.

Group study rooms

The library has seven group study rooms located on balcony 1 and balcony 3.

Group and individual study rooms

As a student or employee at the University of Gothenburg you can use the libraries' group and individual study rooms.

About our group study rooms, individual study rooms and booking rules

Reading studio

The reading studio is on balcony 1. The computer has an Index Everest Braille printer, a Basic Braille 64 display and Jaws screen reading software. The computer does not have SuperNova magnification software.

Reading studios at our libraries

A reading studio is a resource room equipped with technical aids for students with reading impairments such as dyslexia, visual impairment or other disabilities.

About booking and access to reading studios

Silent reading room

The library’s silent area consists of the silent reading room on the entrance level, floor 3, and balconies 1–3. You can reach the balconies by using the stairs or the lift.

Please remember to switch off the sound on your phone and not to eat in the silent reading room.
