About Acta

Acta’s publication series disseminate research findings from the University of Gothenburg and the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences and in Gothenburg. The organisation is a non-profit organisation and operates in collaboration with researchers.

Acta series

The University Library distributes three Acta series: a type of scientific publication commonly used by universities and research institutions to publish theses, monographs, conference proceedings and other academic work.

  • Acta Universitatis Gothoburgensis
  • Acta Bibliothecae Universitatis Gothoburgensis
  • Acta Regiae Societatis Scientiarum et Litterarum Gothoburgensis

Most publications in the series are published in both print and digital formats; the digital publications are freely available on Gupea, a university-wide database for full-text publishing.

Acta Universitatis Gothoburgensis

Acta Universitatis Gothoburgensis is responsible for publishing and disseminating academic works produced at the University of Gothenburg. This work is led by the Acta Committee, which consists of the series editors, and the activities are coordinated by the University Library.

Organisation

The Acta Committee is the governing body of Acta Universitatis Gothoburgensis. The series editors meet annually to decide on the committee’s work. A working group consisting of two series editors and the committee’s secretary prepares matters for discussion by the committee.

Gunnar Bergh is the committee’s chair and Orlando Nigro is its secretary.
